We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Business Development Manager, ABL (Mid-Market and Structured Finance.
The base location for this role is London, this role is Hybrid working as you’ll be expected to work in the office as per the business requirements.
The Business Development role is responsible for generating new business and for initiating and managing business development initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Acting as the face of the bank, positioning HSBC as the key GTRF provider
- Assisting in establishing new business relationships and strengthening existing ones, whilst ensuring fair outcomes for all customers
- Proactively identifying sales opportunities and developing contact strategies
- Supporting plans to generate new business, as well as increasing revenue for existing to achieve asset growth, sales, and revenue targets
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, relationship managers and other wider product specialists to maximise cross-selling opportunities
- Continuing to raise the profile of ABL internally and externally as a highly flexible solution for working capital intensive businesses with high growth, commodity input and/or seasonality characteristics
- Assisting in the communication of new products, propositions, and relevant market information to customers
- Supporting distribution channel business development strategies
- Building and leveraging a network of key business introducers
- Participating in events, initiatives, and activities to develop business opportunities
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Strong knowledge and proven experience in ABL and Receivables services, products, and techniques.
- Knowledge of the ABL market, trends, competitive environment, and regulatory environment.
- Detailed knowledge of Financial Crime Risk and Credit Risk including techniques to mitigate risk
- Experience in driving team and individual performance to achieve customer and revenue targets
- Knowledge of the Commercial Banking market both locally and globally including the competitive landscape, with a detailed knowledge of competitor propositions.
- Good understanding of the international business trade cycle and the business processes involved when importing and exporting.
- Knowledge of Commercial banking’s international proposition and product capabilities.
