Are you looking for a challenging role to use your relationship building skills to facilitate discussions and lead on how we work collaboratively with the four South Yorkshire Local Authorities and key healthcare organisations? This is an exciting new role which looks at mapping the resources, skills and knowledge involved in the hundreds of groundbreaking project across the University which can be matched with the needs of our regional public sector partners. You will also be responsible for initiating new activities with the ultimate aim of delivering maximum impact towards a healthier, greener, more productive and vibrant region.
Based within the Partnerships and Regional Engagement (PRE) team, the Regional Account Manager (South Yorkshire Public Sector) will be part of a dedicated team that coordinates the development and implementation of our Made Together programme which delivers a key strand of the Innovation Pillar within our University's Vision.
In this brand-new post you will support the Assistant Director & Head of Regional Engagement to deliver all themes within the Made Together programme, but more specifically you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing the University's interactions with the South Yorkshire Local Authorities (Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield) and key strategic Healthcare organisations.
- Facilitating the development and coordinating the delivery of agreed action plans with each of the four South Yorkshire Local Authorities.
- Facilitating University wide discussions and opportunities for collaboration with the region's health and care sector.
- Supporting colleagues across Faculties to engage with the South Yorkshire Local Authorities and healthcare organisations by:
- acting in an Account Manager capacity
- helping academics and professional services staff to navigate public sector structures to further University business
- growing research and knowledge exchange activities that deepen our impact across the whole region
