N1112 Refuse Driver - Role Profile
Do you have previous experience of driving HGV Class 1 & 2 waste vehicles including a large mechanical broom, preferably in street cleansing?
A vacancy have become available for a weekday Street Cleansing HGV Driver within our Street Scene and Waste department.
Duties will include driving a large mechanical broom and refuse driving, keeping the city and local environment clean and tidy through the cleansing of public land, highways and main roads.
This will include sweeping of the City’s roads and the cleansing of litterbins and removal of fly tip.
Weekday hours, you will normally be required to work 37 hours Monday – Thursday 9.25 hours per day. This will be worked subject to the needs of your employing department.
Willingness to undertake occasional out of hours night time duties as and when required.
If your working week involves shift, night, rota, weekend or seasonal arrangements a detailed breakdown of your working hours will be provided separately by your line manager. This role provides you with access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
