INTERNAL VACANCY
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our team to provide community based support to refugees.
The role includes providing information, advice and person centred support to refugees on the UKRS, ACRS, ARAP and H4U programs. Due to the nature of the role the post holder will need to be very flexible and empathetic in their approach and to have an imaginative and practical attitude towards problem solving. This will involve working with refugees and host families across a range of issues including maximising income, securing suitable housing, accessing relevant services (e.g. health, education, training etc) and meeting other relevant needs as they emerge.
This is a hugely rewarding and varied role. Due to the nature of the service workload can change and an immediate response may be required to address an emergency situation or meet an urgent need. Therefore candidates must able to prioritise their own workload and work under pressure.
The role includes a mixture of community and office based working.

As this role is public facing, applicants will need to demonstrate, at interview, their competency to converse and provide advice and guidance to members of the public, in spoken English to CEFR level C1: Can express him/herself fluently and spontaneously, almost effortlessly. Only a conceptually difficult subject can hinder a natural, smooth flow of language.
