Job Title: Refugee Resettlement Support Officer (P2154)

Salary: £34,483 up to £37,924 inclusive annual salary + up to 19.7% employer pension contribution

Contract: 20 Months Fixed Term Contract

Post: Full-time (37 hours per week)

Location: Flexible working options

Annual Leave: 28.5 days, plus public bank holidays

Our refurbished offices are in the city centre near to the station (London St Pancras 20 minutes), shops and restaurants. In short it is a great place to live and work.


In this new post you will act as the support officer for all Resettlement and Asylum schemes within the district (Afghan resettlement locally, Ukraine and Asylum pus any other schemes that may arise due to changing circumstances). You will also oversee the running of the humanitarian response at a District level and act as a source for expert advice to colleagues/external partners and stakeholders on the various resettlement schemes.


You must have a NVQ Level 4 (HNC or above) or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject with at least 2 years relevant experience. Knowledge of Government resettlement schemes and relevant policy and related legislation is required for this post. Experience of partnership working with a range of stakeholders including the voluntary sector is also essential. An understanding of the systems of support for families and individuals on low incomes or who are vulnerable due to their refugee experience/health and disability is also required.
