We are seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic problem solver to join our technology division as a Junior Technology Support Engineer. The role of the Junior Technology Support Engineer is to provide Technical IT Support to users throughout the SJP community. Whether that is face to face on our newly established ‘Tech Stop’ desk or remotely through our pioneering ticketing system.

What you’ll be doing?

  • Resolving and troubleshooting Technical Tickets via email, phone and face to face in the Tech Stop IT Drop In centre
  • Collaborating closely with other SJP Technology Teams and users to find technical solutions.
  • Crafting knowledgebase articles for the Service Desk.
  • Supporting IT Infrastructure related projects and rollouts
  • Testing new technologies in a test environment before rollouts
  • Handling multiple tickets through ServiceNow and prioritising urgent issues
  • Understanding SJPs business model and how IT support operating model continuously supports it

Who are we looking for?

  • Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems (10 onwards) Apple devices - Mac knowledge
  • Good understanding of systems and processes to provide support.
  • Sounds knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and components.
  • Solid grasp of computer systems, mobile devices and peripherals
  • Awareness of networking and security practices including anti-virus and threat detection
  • Understanding of IT support operating model.
  • Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions
  • Understanding of ticketing systems, SLAs, Incidents, and service requests
