Calderdale Council is looking for a Refugee Integration Support Assistant to support the implementation and delivery of the Calderdale element of the Refugee Integration Yorkshire & Humber Project co-funded through the European Union Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF).
Located within a small but friendly Cohesion and Equality Team the Refugee Integration Support Worker will assist new refugees in housing and financial need whilst transitioning from government supported accommodation into mainstream society. They will be responsible for providing integration, welfare and housing support and for signposting to relevant agencies ensuring the completion of relevant documentation and referrals.
Good organisational and team working skills are essential for this post as the postholder will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team and may be required to work from multiple sites and with multiple agencies.
We are looking for someone who is confident in working with IT, including Microsoft Office, has good verbal and written communication skills and who is flexible and adaptable to meet evolving needs and deadlines.
