Safe2Speak Domestic Abuse Services are commissioned by St Helens Council to deliver support to victims of Domestic Abuse across the region.
The Key Worker will work from the Refuge on a three-week rolling rota which will include working 1 in 3 weekends.
This is an important role in which you will:
- work intensively with a number of clients to provide frontline services to individuals residing in refuge accommodation and during their resettlement as they move on to independent living
- Manage, increase safety and develop independent living skills of your allocated client base whilst in refuge and during the early stages of their new tenancy
- Identify support needs via a needs and risk assessment and work with clients to develop SMART targets as part of a support plan which you will review on a regular basis
- Provide emotional and practical support via 1:1 sessions and support clients to access other services within the community.
To be successful in this role you will:
Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure that individual needs are met, and outcomes achieved
Represent the service at multi agency meetings such as Family Action Meetings and Core Groups
