Position: Supermarket Refrigeration Engineer
Location: Leeds
Contracted Hours: 45 Hours per week
Salary: £45,000 Basic + circa £2,000 Standby Allowance = Circa Salary before any worked overtime £47,000
Oncall: 1 in 5 (May vary from area to area)
Main duties of the role:
- Take ownership of your assigned stores, building strong relationships and meeting new people in your area.
- Receive calls through your company-issued laptop and effectively plan your day to meet business demands.
- Carry out refrigeration engineering activities with minimal supervision, maintaining agreed standards and priorities.
- Monitor and take necessary actions for outstanding calls exceeding 2 days, ensuring timely resolution.
- Regularly review and maintain van stock holding.
- Adhere to company procedures, processes, and working practices.
- Fulfill reasonable requests from colleagues and management.
- Engage with a wide variety of equipment, from integral freezers to remote packs and more.
Skills/Experience Required:
- Previous experience as an Engineer in commercial refrigeration.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Full driving license.
- Technical proficiency in coldroom and integral case maintenance, seeking support for more complex fault finding.
