The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Internal Medicine Referral Clinician to join our team here at Abington Park Vets, Moulton!Daily duties include but are not limited to:
- Provide clients with a high standard of customer care and service.
- Take on external and internal referral cases.
- Positively communicate to all clients on progress, results, diagnosis, prognosis, treatment options and cost involved all the time.
- Record all patient information, treatment, diagnostic reports, and charges into PMS.
- Hospitalise or discharge patients as appropriate with the correct medicines and instructions for owner or hospital staff.
- Understand and comply with your legal obligations in relation to prescription safe keeping and supply of Veterinary medicinal products.
- Provide the referring vet with a full, written report.
- Present a professional approach and smart appearance, ensure an effective consultation process for all patients.
- Maintain personal CPD as per RCVS guidelines.
Salary and Working Hours
- Working 40 hours
- No weekends
- No out of hours
- Salary of up to £75,000 depending on experience

Abington Park Referral Hospital is part of a group of 3 practices in the Northampton area.We offer referral services in Orthopaedic Surgery, Soft Tissue Surgery, Medicine, Oncology, Advanced Imaging, Dentistry and Cardiology and Respiratory Medicine.

About the Team and Culture
Our amazing team is made up of:- 16 Veterinary Surgeons
- 23 Nurses, majority are with post-graduate qualifications
- 7 Animal Care Assistants
- 13 Receptionists
- Lab Technician
- Dedicated Insurance/Client Account Team of 4
- Dedicated Referral Coordinator
- 3 Very supportive Directors
Applicant Requirements
Certificate in internal medicine is essential. Advanced practitioner, interest in oncology or imaging is desirable. Previous experience in a referral environment and caseload is also desirable, but not essential.Benefits - Subject to Pro Rata:
