Neighbourhood Services, implemented in 2019, brought together Colchester Borough Council’s most high-profile services. From collecting recycling and rubbish, to street cleansing and maintaining numerous parks and open spaces across the Borough, Neighbourhood Services delivers some of the Council's most visible services to all residents and visitors of Colchester.

Job description
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure all specified recycling and waste materials are collected from designated route in line with Task and Finish process.
- Lead and motivate staff to ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective service across the City.
- Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met and always fully complied with, including responsibility for any associated collection teams.
- Create positive interaction with members of the public to ensure a high standard of customer care is achieved.
- Effective communication and completion of operational issues through on-board technology and liaison with Neighbourhood Managers and Wardens.
- Ensure all vehicle checks are carried out in line with current legislation.
Qualifications, skills and experience
Applicants must have:
- A clean Category C (or higher) licence
- A valid Driver Qualification Card
