At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role
Reporting to the Human Resources & Administration Department Manager, and working alongside business stakeholders, this role is responsible for the delivery of Recruitment across all business areas within the Bracknell Office.
The post holder is responsible for delivery, and the improvement of the recruitment process. Alongside their key recruitment specialist area they need to provide professional HR support and advice to the business in line with current legislation and best practice.
Main Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Overall responsibility for the recruitment process for all permanent and temporary Associates across the Bracknell and Swindon Satellite office, with additional support to Honda R&D Theale.
- Responsible for advertising vacancies, scheduling and coordinating interviews, liaising with recruitment agencies, supporting hiring managers throughout the process and attending interviews.
- Build and maintain stakeholder relationships across the business providing knowledgeable support and advise on their recruitment needs.
- Drive continuous improvement of the recruitment process.
- Define and manage the recruitment agency approach. Responsible for identifying and managing external supply relationships to ensure business requirements are met. Main point of contact for all external agencies (permanent and non-permanent)
- With support of the Department Manager complete the tender process and renewal of the Preferred Supplier List (PSL) of recruitment agencies
- Responsible for contractor governance (IR35) process and regulation
- Ensure compliance with audit, data protection requirements and best practice regarding retention of HR applicants personal data within the HR systems.
- Responsible for enhancing Honda’s recruitment Brand image to ensure attractiveness of Honda in external recruitment market.
- Deliver against the recruitment KPI’s and provide monthly reporting to the Department Manager.
- Manage the Recruitment budget and provide regular reporting on spend.
- Attend interviews as required to support the business with their decision making.
- Perform job evaluation analysis for new roles and role regrading of existing roles
- Lead the Annual Undergraduate Programme from the recruitment campaign through to their continuous engagement.
- Raise Purchase orders and provide support to the business on PO’s and invoicing queries for contractors.
HR Support
- Work with the HR Coordinators to ensure smooth onboarding of new Associates.
- Participating in wider HR team projects and process improvements.
- Support as needed with investigations for Employee Relations.
- Run Induction Training for all new Associates.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Required
- Proven experience as an Internal Recruitment Specialist or Recruiter.
- Previous experience working with Recruitment Agencies from within a corporate environment.
- Experience of enhancing employer brand image.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems, ideally SAP.
- Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with good written and verbal communication.
- Excellent organisation skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Enjoy interacting with people and building relationships.
- Ability to work independently and drive consistency, excellent customer service and enhance processes.
Desirable
- Human Resources Qualification (CIPD Level 3 or above)
- Experience within other areas Human resources.
