We are looking to appoint a Recruitment Manager on a fixed term or secondment, to join a lively and vibrant Recruitment and Marketing team. This position will have a significant role in helping WBS to achieve ambitious enrolment targets by delivering a highly professional selection and admissions service. A key aim will be to develop trusted relationships with enquirers, in-progress applicants and offer-holders as they move through the selection and admissions cycle.

The successful applicant will plan, implement and deliver a coordinated selection and business development strategy in support of our undergraduate and masters portfolio. Remaining calm and resilient whilst working in a high volume, fast paced and highly competitive recruitment environment will be key to success. Managing a timely, efficient and fair process that supports an excellent applicant experience is a key focus. The role also requires effective internal and external stakeholder management, acting as an influential ambassador for Warwick Business School and wider University. The successful applicant will be collaborative, flexible, target-driven with a keen eye for detail. This is an exciting opportunity to join WBS as we continue to grow and welcome a rich and vibrant community of students. Some European and international travel is required at certain points of the recruitment cycle.

Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To deliver a highly professional and personalised selection and business development strategy in support of the Undergraduate and Masters portfolio of courses. To manage a fair, transparent and timely recruitment process (up to University enrolment) that ensures a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment, selection and admissions cycle.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Selection & Admissions

  • Develop and deliver a fair and transparent selection and application screening process to achieve the schools ambitious recruitment targets.

  • Work in partnership with Director of Recruitment, Associate Dean(s) and Academic selectors to ensure recruitment strategy aligns with overall WBS strategy.

  • Manage and monitor the operations, processing and resourcing of application screening.

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to ensure unsuccessful applicants for one programme are successfully alerted to other more suitable study opportunities when appropriate.

  • Ensure admissions processes conform to institutional and legal frameworks, delivering an admissions service that meet customer service levels as agreed with the Director.

  • Work with Assistant CRM Manager to deliver timely and accurate end of campaign recruitment reports to be presented to the Director of Recruitment, Dean, Associate Dean(s) and the Recruitment Review Group (RRG).

  • Ensure applicant management portal is kept fully up to date with relevant and comprehensive candidate records ensuring compliance with GDPR.

Attraction

  • Represent WBS and the University of Warwick at UK/Overseas recruitment fairs, conferences and Open Events to raise awareness of the Masters portfolio.

  • Partner with international recruitment agencies to ensure they are fully briefed on the entry requirements and preferred candidate profile across all programmes.

  • Develop positive relationships with current students and alumni to encourage support with student recruitment and conversion activities.

Conversion

  • Plan, schedule and deliver cost-efficient recruitment events (e.g. offer holder days) that lead to a diverse cohort and high quality/timely decisions.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and selection processes based on market and competitor intelligence.

  • Manage, develop and deliver conversion and 'keep-warm' strategies to encourage timely decisions, increase conversion rates and ensure diversity targets are met.

  • Collaborate with Marketing & Communications to create effective marketing materials, social media campaigns and e-shots to send to offer holders.

Managerial Responsibilities

  • Manage and motivate a small team of co-ordinators to ensure a timely and efficient delivery of services.

  • Support Director with setting, managing and monitoring budgets and resource allocation.

  • Undertake projects as directed by the Director of Recruitment and Marketing to support the Schools 2030 strategy.
