Our HR Resourcing Team play a critical role in supporting this aspiration by providing expert advice and guidance to staff across the University on all areas of resourcing activity. Our service has been growing to include initiatives supporting the delivery of dedicated support for the recruitment of senior staff across our Professional Services functions, such as in Estates, Finance, HR and IT. We are now looking for a Recruitment Coordinator, who will lead the administration of this new function.
The Role:
As our Recruitment Coordinator, you will deliver administrative support for all senior Professional Services staff recruitment at the University (typically Directors or Heads of Section). You will be the main point of contact, providing advice to key stakeholders and escalating enquiries as appropriate to ensure that the team provides a seamless service to key stakeholders. Reporting to the new Recruitment Adviser, you will:
- Lead the administration of the end-to-end recruitment process by coordinating the advertising process, including scheduling meetings, and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
- Manage interaction with candidates, including offer and rejection communications, processing screening and reference checks, and maintaining HR/Recruitment systems
- Contribute to projects that develop the service in line with the priorities of the HR Division and the wider strategic direction of the University
- Actively participate as a member of the Resourcing team, attending and contributing to Team meetings and working across the team to assist with peaks in workload or to share knowledge and skills.
About you:
The ideal candidate for this role will join us with:
- Extensive experience of providing administrative support (preferably gained in an HR environment) and of providing advice and guidance to management (ideally on matters relating to HR / recruitment);
- The ability and confidence to analyse problems at an operational level, identify root causes and propose appropriate solutions based on documented procedures.
- An innovative and flexible approach, with the ability to plan your workload over the short to medium term, contributing to wider project work as required.
- Evidence of strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to successfully present information through a variety of communication methods and tools.
This new role will provide you with an opportunity to develop or expand your experience in recruitment process development and enhancement, whilst also contributing to other HR and EDI projects related to recruitment.
