Assistant Site Manager (Facilities Management)

Your new role:
As the Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Facilities Manager in supervising, coordinating, and directing the work of the site team, and to ensure the teaching and learning environment is safe, secure, maintained to the highest standards and statutory compliant, through the provision of a responsive and efficient caretaking and site management service.
Your key responsibilities include:
To be successful in your application, you will have significant previous experience in a similar role, preferably including the management of a multi-discipline team. You'll be familiar with Health & Safety relevant to the school environment, or have the aptitude and willingness to learn, full support and training is available. Ideally, you will have a technical background with regard Facilities Maintenance, and you'll be able to put the needs and safety of the client and service users first.

Location: Winifred Holtby Academy & Tweendykes School, Hull
Contract: Full-time, permanent
Hours: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

Your new role:
About the role:
As the Assistant Site Manager, you will support the Site Facilities Manager in supervising, coordinating, and directing the work of the site team, and to ensure the teaching and learning environment is safe, secure, maintained to the highest standards and statutory compliant, through the provision of a responsive and efficient caretaking and site management service.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Support with training and deploying the school’s caretaking staff to ensure that they keep all areas of the site safe, secure, maintained to the highest standard and statutory compliant. To also participate in the recruitment and selection of caretaking staff.
- Support with the delivery of the planned preventative maintenance programme on an annual basis outlining priorities for the maintenance and development of the site.
- Monitoring of plant and equipment, to ensure they are working, and to address any faults directly or by issuing instructions to the in-house maintenance.
- To assist with supervising and undertaking minor refurbishments, building work, repairs, and replacements.
- To ensure the school environment and immediate perimeter is kept free of graffiti and litter daily.
- To direct the community use of the school’s premises and site, including monitoring of site users with appropriate support from the Site Manager.
- To induct and monitor the performance of external contractors to ensure that all work is of an acceptable standard and liaise with contractors to remedy any shortfall in performance.
- To ensure that the RFM equipment, materials and stock are accounted for. To identify pupil damage and raise recharges to the school, and order replacements and rectifications.
What you'll need:
