PS Connect
This part-time post (0.8 FTE) is available immediately on a permanent basis.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.
As part of this role involves supporting the manning of our HR reception desk, you will need to be within reach of our campus in Exeter.
Summary of the role
Supporting the University in its strategic ambitions, the recruitment team aim to attract the best talent globally ensuring a smooth candidate experience and robust selection process.
Our Recruitment function has recently joined an exciting new Shared Service Centre at the University called PS Connect. PS Connect was established as a new, integrated service in May 2023. It is initially bringing together teams from HR, Finance and IT to transform and deliver professional services through a 'one-stop shop' with a focus on the user journey to: deliver cross-functional core services and support; ensure better service quality and satisfaction; maximise our use of technology; and provide continuous improvement and streamline processes.
As a recruitment administrator, you will work closely with colleagues across PS Connect and the wider HR team to ensure an excellent customer experience to our candidates and recruiting managers.
Team working is critical to the way our recruitment team operates. We are supportive, collaborative, and respectful and seek to deliver our new values on a daily basis. It is a fast paced environment but you will join a team of 14 consisting of Recruitment Leads, Coordinators and Administrators who will train, support and guide you.
Great communication and administration skills are essential for this role. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from those with experience working in a human resources and/or a recruitment environment, however we are open to applications from a variety of backgrounds.
You will be involved in managing the recruitment inbox, answering queries and referring others on to the relevant person in the team (Recruitment or wider HR team). You will manage our pre-employment checking process and man the HR Reception.
You will generate contracts and support the recruitment team with various parts of the recruitment process, such as advertising roles, collating applications, and creating interview itineraries for candidates and recruiting managers
Ideally you will have:
- Experience working within a fast-paced environment
- Ability to juggle priorities and work to deadlines
- Strong customer service skills
- Great initiative and a process improvement focus
- Attention to detail and desire to ensure accuracy
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Desire to work as a team to support one end goal
