Grade: RU05
Salary: £30,469 to £34,512 p.a. inclusive of London Weighting Allowance
The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Student Recruitment Coordinator to join our busy and innovative team. This role will play a crucial part in delivery of the University’s Schools and Colleges engagement plan, as well as our Access and Participation Plan, to encourage progression in learning, raise aspirations and drive forward UK UG recruitment through an increase in applications and enrolments.
You will be expected to develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders and identify new widening participation opportunities. You will also help the wider team deliver on and off campus school visits and represent the University at UCAS exhibitions. The post holder will help to proactively raise the profile of the University and generate student applications from appropriately qualified students, regardless of background, in what is arguably one of the most dynamic periods ever for the UK higher education sector.
Key responsibilities will include supporting the UK recruitment team to deliver the university’s calendar of undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment activity through a variety of administrative tasks, organising and delivering high quality on campus recruitment events such as Taster Days, support with the development and delivery of Widening Participation programmes, host digital activities such as the mature students webinar series and contribute to the delivery of schools and colleges engagement activity including presentations, HE fairs and taster workshops.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to be able to deal with queries from and provide information to prospective students and teachers by phone, email and in person, the ability to support in the creation and delivery of dynamic in-person and digital events, the ability to maintain a positive attitude to a busy work environment and proficient IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), including an ability to use a database.
