Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identifies, recruits, and contributes to increasing the population of admitted, enrolled, and underrepresented students in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Develops an effective plan for recruiting in the assigned area(s) and schools by participating in agency visits, career & college fairs and other programs to encourage enrollment in the College of Arts & Sciences.
Collaborate with faculty and department chairs to schedule and organize recruitment events, activities, campus visits, summer camps and internship opportunities.
Coordinates with high school counselors and community college advisors to facilitate the application process.
Tracks and follows up with targeted students and parents.
Advises prospective students about college programs, admissions statuses and policies.
Develops working relationships with TAMUK members, departments, counselors, and advisors to enhance customer service and satisfaction. Disseminates admissions information.
Conducts on and off campus public speaking and maintains related records.
Completes reports on programs/projects. Proposes, organizes, plans and coordinates events including accommodations, itineraries, meals, speakers, and records.
Utilize social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) to market college programs and activities and drive website traffic.

Minimum Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience - One year of related experience.
Knowledge of - Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Knowledge of admissions functions of higher education.
Ability to - Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to travel frequently, including overnight travel.
Supervision of Others
This position generally does not supervise employees.
Other Requirements
Bilingual speaker preferred.
Must be willing and available to work evenings and occasional weekends.
