General Summary
Bonnier Books UK is looking for a highly organised and self-motivated in-house recruiter on a permanent basis to support the HR team with bringing all recruitment in-house, growing our business’s most important asset: our people.
This is an exciting, newly created role and provides a fantastic opportunity to establish an effective end-to-end in-house recruitment process, using tools and strategies to reduce recruitment costs whilst ensuring our recruitment practices are aligned with our company values and commitment to inclusion and representation.
The role requires strong project management skills, and you will build strong working relationships with every area of the business and across all departments. Your main focus will be to work with hiring managers to manage candidate pipelines and implement cost-effective hiring plans. You will connect externally with prospective candidates at all levels and you will be a champion for our employer brand.
The successful candidate will report to the HR Director.
Role responsibilities
Work closely with the HR team to shape the recruitment strategy and implement a recruitment process to reduce third party recruitment expenditure.
Collaborate with hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs and work with the HR team to create role specifications for each vacancy.
Ensure job openings are advertised on all relevant job boards and proactively source and recommend additional candidate platforms to ensure applicant reach is as wide as possible.
Proactively build a robust candidate pipeline, connecting with potential candidates whilst ensuring that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is adhered to.
Champion BBUK as a forward-thinking employer and ensure our recruitment practices are aligned with our company values and commitment to inclusion and representation.
Support hiring managers with interview logistics, including scheduling interviews and arranging room bookings.
Regularly report the status of vacancies to hiring managers and the HR team.
Manage all candidate queries and ensure that BBUK offers a positive candidate experience, including providing interview feedback to candidates on behalf of hiring managers.
Work with the HR team to ensure every new employee has an exceptional onboarding experience
Skills and experience
- Proven experience as a project manager or equivalent, ideally in recruitment.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of and keen interest in recruitment processes and people.
- An excellent eye for detail.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and deliver high quality work set to deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to proactively engage with stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
- Good working knowledge of databases, systems and Microsoft Office
