Job description
This is an exciting opportunity to join the fast-paced and innovative Student Recruitment team at Aston University. You will be pivotal in the development of relationships between Aston University and schools and colleges across the UK. The role will involve providing information, advice and guidance at careers fairs and exhibitions, as well as delivering presentations to students, parents, carers and teachers with an aim to grow applications to the university.
You will also work closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and develop a variety of on campus events, as well as being responsible for the project management of our three pre-applicant Open Days, each attracting over 3,000 visitors to campus.
You will be educated to degree level or have an equivalent qualification. Previous experience of working within 14-19 education and in a student recruitment, outreach or marketing environment is essential. You will need to have excellent communication, organisational and time management skills. You will work as part of a small team but also need to work well independently.

Evening work and occasional weekend work is essential to the role due to attending and delivering events in Schools and Colleges. Time off in Lieu will be accrued for extra hours worked. A driving licence is essential, but if you are unable to fulfill this requirement then please contact us for a discussion.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check for this role.
This role is on a job-share basis across two days of the week, ideally Monday and Tuesday as the job-share partner works Wednesday-Friday.
