Lee Kum Kee is looking to expand the team in the marketing department and are searching for a Assistant Marketing Manager for our Brand Marketing team.
This role is expected to take ownership to manage marketing and PR campaigns/programs/events as well as new product development process and launches across Europe.
The successful candidate will work very closely with the digital marketing team, product team and sales team on a daily basis, in order to provide effective brand and marketing support for sustainable business growth and driving demand for Lee Kum Kee products across the region.
The role requires high multi-tasking and communication skills, with rich experience in managing multiple international agencies. The candidate should have a tracked record of delivering successful campaigns and PR programs, with a keen eye on creative and design, as well as good copy-writing skills.
We’re looking for a senior brand marketing specialist who wants to progress to the AM level. The candidate should be a self-starter with business acumen, preferably with solid FMCG/food marketing experience.
The candidates must also have a genuine interest in cooking.
Key Responsibilities
The main focus is to work within the marketing team to conduct marketing activities which will drive sales and win-over new users of Lee Kum Kee products, for in-home and food service use.
- Support Marketing Manager with the Europe marketing plan and strategy.
- Build, manage and own campaigns and programs with a focus on brand marketing and new product launches.
- Build, manage and own PR strategy, programs and events.
- Manage multiple agencies including media agencies for creative idea generation, media purchase and execution in the aim for brand awareness and conversion.
- Plan and manage partnership/collaboration/sponsorship/sampling activities.
- Manage and prepare various marketing communication materials and contents, online and offline ATL & BTL marketing collaterals, photo and video production.
- Build annual online and offline advertisement plan, manage ad placement and content/artwork production.
- Manage annual event schedule and event execution.
- Manage new product development process and launches.
- Understand consumer needs and opportunities within the product to drive revenue and create a seamless and friction-less user experience.
- Support and contribute information for business development team to manage relevant marketing support programs and promotions.
Selection Criteria
The position requires a highly organised individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in Chinese cuisine and cooking.
As a representative of Lee Kum Kee, you must be of smart and professional appearance and portray a confident outlook when meeting customers and suppliers at all levels.
You must be educated to Communication or Marketing degree level or equivalent with at least 4 years’ working experience in brand marketing, also have the ability to plan your own schedule and prioritize your workload.
- Excellent Language Skills – English (spoken & written at business level), Chinese (spoken & written at business level), other European languages (welcome but not a must)
- Excellent writing, editing and written communications kills
- Event planning and agency management skills
- Highly sensitive to new trends and being able to identify opportunities for brand growth.
- Computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator will be an advantage but not a must.
- Having a full UK driving license would be good to have but not a must.

- Past experience in food & beverage or FMCG industry preferred

- Good social skills and be able to build business relationships
- Happy to travel occasionally inside and outside of UK for meetings/events/conferences
- Must be a team player and assist colleagues across departments when required
- Must be a Chinese food lover and a keen cook

Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £37,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
