Job description

Our team in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole are recruiting for Criminal Justice Recovery Workers to join them in providing high quality recovery care to a diverse service user group. This varied and exciting role will be supporting all aspects of a service user’s treatment journey. We design and deliver workshops and 1:1 sessions, outreach clients within BCP and work in the custody suites at Bournemouth and Poole police stations. If you are an enthusiastic and creative individual and are passionate about changing people’s lives for the better, we’d love to hear from you.

Our Recovery Workers work with our service users to help them to access life-changing support. We find out what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them back onto the path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. A key part of this role is to improve access to appropriate services for service users, reducing substance misuse related issues within the community.

This is a fixed term post until July 2025.

You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained. A driving licence is desirable, but essential, for this role. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and key stakeholders.

A full job description and person specification is available on request.

Please note that this role may close early should sufficient applications be received, so early application is advised.
