Job description
Our Recovery Workers work with our service users to help them to access life-changing support. We find out what their goals, ambitions and passions are, working with them to create the best treatment plan for their needs and to get them back onto the path to recovery. This is an integral role for With You - as a frontline worker, you will deliver continuity of care through effective partnership working, care coordination, delivery of interventions and key work responsibilities. You will manage an active caseload of service users, connecting quickly with the people we support, treating them respectfully and with dignity. A key part of this role is to improve access to appropriate services for service users, reducing substance misuse related issues within the community.
This is a fixed term post until July 2025.
You will be a compassionate and motivated individual, with an exceptional ability to build meaningful relationships. We’re looking for demonstrable experience working within the health, social care, criminal justice or other specialist setting, ideally with those with substance misuse issues. You will be highly organised, with excellent communication skills and able to manage your time effectively, working as part of a team to ensure a high quality service is maintained. A driving licence is desirable, but essential, for this role. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and key stakeholders.

REQUIRED SKILLS
To be successful in this role, you will:
- have attained ONC/NVQ level 3 or be willing to achieve this within 12 months
- have some experience of working in a health, social care or related setting
- have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients and colleagues alike
- be able to work effectively in a team, supporting others when needed
- be resilient under pressure and able to prioritise you work
- have good oral and written communication skills
- be comfortable using IT and digital media
- be organised and able to manage your time effectively
- able to be flexible with your working hours on occasion
- be happy to support other With You locations when needed
You will also need to meet our safeguarding requirements of a satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
DESIRABLE SKILLS
We'll give your application priority if you:
- have previous experience of working with people who misuse substances
- knowledge of health and safety, including assessing client in high-risk situations
