An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with police information, records & evidence. The successful candidate would be part of a team responsible for physical warehouse tasks such as receiving, locating, storing and retrieving material, as well as working at height (4.2m), using manual handling or powered and unpowered equipment. You would also be required to use our warehouse management software and other systems to manage storage capacity and maintain our collections over their lifespan. You will travel to sites across Thames Valley and Hampshire force areas to transport material in a department vehicle. You would be expected to undertake and regularly refresh all of the mandatory training listed below and work as part of a successful, highly effective and supportive team of police professionals. You will have ongoing development in the latest legislation and processes around data protection, records & information management and evidence handling. In this role, you will provide an effective storage and logistic service to both Thames Valley Police and Hampshire Constabulary, including retention and disposal of records (exhibits, paper, media and frozen samples) and other archived force assets.
The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, be IT literate with excellent customer service skills, paying attention to detail and deadlines. A high degree of integrity and trust is required, as you will be dealing with sensitive and classified information. Experience of using warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, mobile steps etc. is essential along with warehouse or stores experience. It is essential that you have experience of driving forklift (reach) trucks, with experience of driving vehicles up to 7.5 tonne gross weight desirable (training can be given). This is a physical role, so the ability to lift and carry multiple cartons per day up to 20kg and move trollies and pallets between 100-1000kg (using appropriate equipment) is essential.

Vetting. All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
