Reconciliations Team Accountant
Location: Hybrid, home working with minimum of one day per week at Swindon or London office.
Term: initially 6 months with strong possibility of extension.
Rate: £405 per day (inside IR35, via umbrella)
Accenture is looking for qualified experienced accountants with reconciliations experience to join our client’s reconciliation team to manage a successful integration of a new system and process into the team.
The team deals with the day-to-day reconciliation of financial transactions.
Your role will involve liaising with projects to understand the potential impact on the Financial Reconciliations team.
You will also work with the Financial Reconciliations management team to help the drive towards becoming more effective and efficient.
You will be:
· A fully qualified accountant
· have strong written and verbal communication skills.
· have a strong track record of problem solving and resolving challenging queries.
· be confident in your decisions, have good attention to detail, and be open and approachable.
Desirable but not essential:
· project experience.
· financial reconciliations experience in a financial institution
What you will be doing:
· You will lead the business readiness activities for the Finance Reconciliations team.
· Your responsibilities will include being the accounting lead on projects, review and approval of documentation and lead the product delivery into BAU.
· You will also lead the communication with stakeholders and help manage the impact of this project on other major changes.
· You will be the primary accounting knowledge and ensure successful delivery for key risk mitigation projects.
· You will ensure the new process or system is well controlled, understood, documented, and resourced.
· You’ll help build strong relationships between projects and the Financial Reconciliations team.
