Join a small team of pioneering woman as we launch our new city events venue to change the world of work for women!
We are looking for a receptionist to join our team and be the first point of contact for our workshop and event attendees and guests at our new Aspire venue in the City of London.
Our mission is to inspire and empower women leaders to create life, work and world change. We do this through workshops, events, 1 to 1 coaching, books and membership.
An interest in women's empowerment and leadership is a must. You need to be versatile and highly-organised with a very high attention to detail and demonstrable experience. You need to be a great planner, proactive, willing to change quickly and intuitive.
With 3 rooms that will cater for up to 25 people, this is a unique opportunity for a passionate and experienced receptionist looking for something different.
You will help to provide a wonderful atmosphere of care, consideration, friendliness, informality, professionalism, attention to detail and inspiration.
Job brief
Responsibilities include greeting guests, escorting them to the lounge and workshop areas. For this role, you should have great organisational and people skills to make sure our guests have an inspirational experience from the moment they arrive till their departure. You should also be available to work Tuesday to Friday each week.
Responsibilities
· Welcome guests to the venue and offer personal service
· Check them in
· Manage attendee lists
· Escort to assigned areas
· Maintain a clean and tidy reception and surrounding area
· Cater to guests who require extra attention
· Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries and make bookings
· Support events supervisor with food and drink set up’s and catering
· Order supplies and keep accurate records and lists
· Coordinate with building manager on our needs and requirements
· Print daily menus
· Any other duties as required
Requirements and skills
· Previous work experience as a receptionist
· Familiarity with health and safety and food hygiene regulations
· Experience in managing reservations
· Demonstrable customer-service skills
· Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
· Strong organisational skills
· Good physical condition to walk and stand and go up and down stairs
· Warm, friendly, calm and personable demeanor
· Team player and effective communicator
· Exceptional time management

- Able to feedback and create new ideas and changes..
- Attention to detail and conducts standards checks.
Tuesday to Friday daytime with some early evenings. Events differ per week with new events being planned and created.
