About the Role
12 hrs per week: Sat & Sun 8:00am-2:30pm with 30 minute break
The Receptionist at Maria Mallaband is part of the care team and as such will have some contact with residents. The Receptionist must maintain a friendly manner when working with or near Service Users, relatives and visitors. The reception area is ‘front of house’ for the Care Home and the duties of the receptionist are to ensure that residents, guests and all visitors to the Home are treated courteously and efficiently at all times.
The Receptionist must maintain confidentiality about all issues discussed in the office regarding residents, the Home and staff and must never discuss any of the issues outside of the Home.
Duties include:
- Photocopying documents
- Filing
- Scanning
- Answering the telephone in a professional manner
- Greeting relatives and visiting professionals
- Other general administrative duties

Belmont House
Belmont House, in Harrogate, specialises in a provision of residential and nursing care, as well as caring for people living with dementia. Respite care is also provided and is dependent on availability. The home is divided into five separate suites, spread over three floors. The Courtyard suite provides residential care for up to 30 people. The Garden and Spring water suites both provide nursing care for 14 people each. The Park suite provides residential care for up to 17 people living with dementia, while the Promenade suite provides nursing care for up to 26 people with dementia. Staff have a wide range of care and nursing qualifications, thanks to how parent company Countrywide Care Homes invests in its talent, with new technology incorporated where it will be of an advantage to service users.
