About the Role
Dr Bekas Medical Practice has an opportunity for a receptionist to join the team, on a part-time basis of 15 hours per week, on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons. This is initially a fixed-term contract for one year.
- Greeting and directing all patients;
- Making appointments and giving out appointment cards, where required;
- Accepting, issuing and handing out prescriptions, letters, completed forms, specimen bottles, etc.;
- Dealing with requests for information, and managing problems and complaints;
- Advising patients of practice procedures;
- Registering new patients; Answering the telephone, promptly.

About the Candidate
- Excellent communication skills, with a clear and polite telephone manner;
- Ability to work in a polite, confidential and discreet manner, respecting patients at all times;
- Experience of working with the general public, being sensitive and empathic in distressing situations;
- Confidence to work as part of a team and ability to "think on your feet";
- Strong IT and administration skills;
