We are looking for a motivated Receptionist & Office Assistant to help with daily operations of the office and our event spaces.

In addition to running offices and letting properties to theatres, retail and restaurants we directly manage a number of locations (Menier Venues) for film, TV, fashion and events. An adaptive and dynamic team shaking up traditional views on property; we are looking for another self-starter to join the small team as a receptionist and office assistant, enabling the growth and improvement of the company by supporting the Office and Facilities Manager, Event Team and Directors. About you
The ideal candidate will be positive and engaging with a can-do attitude who is responsible and able to undertake a wide variety of office support tasks while being on top of reception duties. They’ll be able to work diligently in a busy office, comfortable engaging with people and keen to be involved with a wide range of tasks in order to provide support for both side of the business (property and venues).
Based in lovely offices in London Bridge with a small and ambitious team, this is a fantastic role for a bright and highly organised candidate able to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and energy, keen to learn and comfortable with being a first point of contact.
Responsibilities:
- Performing receptionist duty inc. handling incoming calls and post/deliveries, organising meeting room and greeting visitors
- Taking initial enquiries for the venues over the phone
- Helping organise and maintain our office
- Performing general office duties and errands and accessing the buildings with contractors and for post / meter reads etc
- Monitoring office supplies and assisting with general orders for the office
- Providing support to the wider team including calendar scheduling, travel arrangements and scanning/filing
- Some ad hoc event support – opening venues for clients, running teas and coffees
- Occasional PA duties
It is a very varied role, and the ideal candidate will be comfortable being hands-on and tackling diverse tasks while effectively communicating and prioritizing a changing workload with the support of the team.
Requirements:
- Excellent phone manners and customer service is essential for this role as you will be the first point of contact for clients, tenants, contractors etc, so you do need experience in that area.
- Previous experience as office assistant is desirable although not essential as long as you are keen to learn
- Good written and spoken English
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Proactive work ethic with a hands-on attitude
- Calm and positive approach to a busy and multi-faceted role
- Microsoft Office and general IT skills
- Personable with strong communication skills
Not essential, but a plus:
- Experience with social media and marketing
- An interest in design, architecture and style
- More advanced IT skills
Please note that due to the nature of the role, you will need to be comfortable with flexible hours.
Starting date: as soon as possible

- £25kpa pro-rata
- Part time role with a minimum of 20hrs per week
