We are currently looking to recruit Female Support Workers on a permanent, full time basis. Shifts are spread across morning, afternoons, evenings, weekends, sleep ins and bank holidays.

You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £60.00 for any sleep-in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep-ins is non-contractual.

What does a Support Worker do?

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people we support, living a more comfortable, dignified, independent and happy life. You will also be working within an empowered team that are confident in the day to day running of the service.

This may include:

  • Personal care - helping people to get ready for the day and assisting with bathing, showering, and using the bathroom.
  • Supporting people to live independently – budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
  • Excellent communication skills/relationship building – supporting the person to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
  • Community & Social Inclusion- Supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and independence.
  • Working with a range of internal and external people including family, local authorities and health professionals, constantly seeking ways to improve people we supports lives.
  • Working within the scope of a framework to keep people safe and understand where you have freedom to make the changes that you think will work.
  • Taking an interest in a particular area of support for the service including Quality, Data Finance and Working with people. This could be a part of your career pathway.
