Job Description
The Vet Surgery Burgess Hill
Receptionist
If you enjoy providing great customer service and working with a welcoming and supportive team, we have just the opportunity for you.
What your typical day will look like
Your focus is to provide an exceptional service to our clients and the best care possible to their pets - providing a link between clients and the clinical team. Your ability to build strong relationships with our clients, their pets and the team will be critical to your success.
We are looking for an upbeat and friendly people person, who can greet each client and offer support, guidance and expertise. Your role will involve managing payments and future bookings which means that computer literacy is a must.
This is a part time role working approximately 20 hours per week, which will include some weekend work. We are looking for an individual with the flexibility to then increase their hours where necessary to cover holidays.
The attributes required
You are a kind and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice. You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services. You are calm, attentive, proactive and always focus on the clients’ needs.
You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched by your love of animals.
You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet, to sharing the joy of a new puppy’s first visit.
In short, you like to be busy, enjoy helping people and their pets, and always endeavour to make a difference.
Benefits
Your benefits package would include a competitive salary, depending on experience, pension provision and paid holiday allowance. You would also benefit from 20% discounts at Pets at Home and other perks and rewards.
