We are excited to offer an Aerospace Engineering Apprentice position based at Bournemouth Airport. This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity for an aspiring individual to break into the aerospace industry. As an Aerospace Engineering Apprentice, you will work on light aircraft and gain valuable hands-on experience in the field of aerospace engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Training: Participate in comprehensive aerospace engineering training programs designed to enhance your skills and knowledge in areas such as aircraft design, propulsion systems, avionics, and aerospace materials.
Hands-On Experience: Work closely with our experienced aerospace engineers on light aircraft projects, contributing to research and development, design, analysis, and testing.
Engineering Support: Provide valuable assistance in the development and testing of aerospace components, systems, and structures for light aircraft.
Data Analysis: Analyse and interpret data from experiments, simulations, and tests, offering recommendations for improvements and optimizations.
Documentation: Prepare technical reports, engineering drawings, and documentation as required for aerospace projects.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control processes.
Problem Solving: Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and resolve technical challenges and contribute innovative solutions.
Requirements:
Strong interest in aerospace engineering and the aviation industry.
Possession of an NVQ or similar qualification in engineering is a plus.
Alternatively, an interest in automobile, aerospace, or marine engineering is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to safety and quality.
Eagerness to learn and a strong work ethic.
