Job description
We are looking for a polite, enthusiastic and motivated individual to come and join our busy reception team, within the Ophthalmology Department.
You will need to work under pressure, be a team player and be able to prioritise your workload.
The Successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to multi-task. If this sounds like the job for you, we welcome your application.

Provide a professional service that ensures high standards of Patient Care. The post holder is expected to provide administrative and reception support for all areas of the department and provide help and advice to others when necessary to ensure Patient Care is maximised at all. To provide a comprehensive reception and appointment service at one of the designated reception areas covered by the Outpatient reception team.

Undertake reception duties including the registration of Patients and to ensure the production of any relevant paperwork.
To direct Patients to the correct area of the department as appropriate
Undertake the booking of appointments.
Handle enquiries from whatever source in an appropriate, timely and courteous manner.
Become familiar with and maintain detailed knowledge of all office procedures
To be aware of the emotional state of Patients / relatives and take appropriate action as necessary
Scan & upload paperwork to Evolve
Booking urgent appointments
Dealing with emergency referrals
Collecting notes from clinic rooms
Taking notes back to Medical Records
