We have a fantastic opportunity for a Part time Receptionist for a one year fix term contract to cover maternity leave,to join our brilliant team at the Minster Veterinary Practice.

  • We are looking for a friendly, chatty individual who enjoys customer care, the love for animals and working as part of a team in a busy practice environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, attention to detail, and organisational skills. Whilst previous customer care experience is preferred, it is not essential.Full training will be given for this role.
  • Hours consist of an average of 22.5 hrs per week, including 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis. - Monday 8 hour shift between 7.30-4 pm, 8-4.30 am,10.30am- 7pm or 11am-7pm shift pattern-Friday 8am- 7 pm,Saturday 8am-4.30pm and Sunday 8am-4.30 pm.Bank Holiday's 8-4.30pm (approx one per year)
  • Your Main location will be Salisbury Road branch, but you may be required to cover any of our branch for sickness and holiday cover.
  • As branch cover will be required, own transport within the York & Malton area is essential.

Job Duties

  • Meet and greet clients and their pets
  • Answer the telephone
  • Process payments
  • Answering emails
  • Organising and manage daily post or deliveries
  • Maintaining stock and ordering supplies
  • Input the vet rota's into the practice management system
  • Book,cancel and rearrange appointments

Salary: £11,466.00-£12,470.00 per year
