We are looking for a highly skilled experienced receptionist to join our team!
Job Description
The post-holder will be a part of the reception team. They will be part of a reception front of house team responsible for the effective running and workload in the reception and report to the Deputy Manager/ Practice Manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Dealing with patients requests via the telephone and face to face
- Booking appointments with clinicians
- Co-ordinate emergency doctors requests
- Workflow and all relevant administration tasks within reception
- Faxing, handing mail, emailing and sending letters to patients
- Completing prescription requests
Flexibility of working hours is essential for this role as you may be asked to cover at short notice.
We require a candidate with extensive relevant experience due to the fast paced nature of the role.
Skills and experience
- Previous experience in a similar role within a GP or hospital setting is essential
- Having Systmone experience would be an advantage
- Having a self motivated and forward thinking approach
- Excellent organisational, planning skills and IT skills
- Excellent and effective communication skills

Personal/Professional Development
The post-holder will participate in any training programme implemented by the practice as part of this employment, such training to include:
- Participation in an annual individual performance review, including taking responsibility for maintaining a record of own personal and/or professional development
- Taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrating skills and activities to others who are undertaking similar work.
