You will be a vital part of our practice, enabling us to continue to deliver excellent care to our patients.
The ideal candidate will have some experience in administration in a healthcare setting, but full training will be provided.
Main duties of the job
Our reception role is varied. Our team are the first point of contact for our patients. The successful candidate will be a conscientious worker, committed to working in a team to deliver our aims and the best possible care.
A key part of the role is to support patients to use the NHS well, by signposting them to the right appointment or the most appropriate service. We are the first point of contact for most patients using the NHS and we want that to be an excellent experience for them.
Part of our role is delivery of the NHS immunisation programmes and it is important that the successful candidate will feel comfortable explaining the benefits of vaccination and encouraging patients to attend.
Each day is busy and interesting with lots of opportunities to learn and develop your skills. You will be supported by our managers and your colleagues. We like to foster excellent relationships between our clinical and admin staff and meet as a whole team each day.
Our patients speak a wide range of languages and we often use interpreting services. Whilst excellent spoken and written English is essential for all of our staff, ability to speak Portuguese, Spanish or Polish is helpful.
