The main purpose of this role is to provide a welcoming, professional, efficient and effective reception service, which is responsive to customer requirements and supports the requirements of the faculty. To provide general administration support for the Faculty Office.
In this role it will be your responsibility:
- to staff the switchboard and the reception desk or equivalent and manage enquiries from staff, students, visitors and others - in person, by telephone and by electronic media.
- to support the Faculty Office by providing general assistance and information to staff, students, visitors and others.
- to manage the collection, distribution and recording of incoming and outgoing mail, parcels and other deliveries.
- to assist as applicable with timetabling and room bookings.
- to be a point of contact for hire car drop offs and collections.
- to order catering and ensure its delivery to appropriate rooms for meetings and receptions, liaising with on-campus or external caterers as appropriate.
- to provide general administration support for the Faculty Office as and when required e.g. typing, data input, filing and archiving, printing and copying, taking minutes etc.
- to monitor & maintain stationery and other office supplies as required.
- to assist with the review, development and implementation of reception and administrative procedures and processes.
- To do any other duties commensurate with the grade and focus of the post.
