We are looking for a Veterinary Client Service Representative to be one of the faces of our spectacular Animal Hospital.
River’s Edge Animal Hospital is a locally-owned, small animal hospital with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. We opened in 2021 and have been serving Rock Hill and the surrounding community and their four-legged friends ever since. Teamwork is the name of the game. We are a close team that supports one another and are often found hopping from our own roles to help in another area of the hospital. The role of Veterinary Client Service Representative means that you are the very first voice and face our clients see and hear. You care for the clients just as much as the doctors, by ensuring that they are comfortable and supported throughout their visit with us.
The impact you will have in this role includes:
- Provide kind and compassionate interactions with our clients and patients.
- Answer telephones and place calls promptly, efficiently, and in a professional and friendly manner.
- Answer clients’ inquiries about hospital policies, and basic pet care questions.
- Greets clients, and enter or updates client and pet information into the practice computer system.
- Schedule patient appointments and reservations.
- Prepare client invoices and obtain payments after services are performed.
- Perform over-the-counter sales of specialty merchandise, exercising a technical knowledge of products sold.
- Assist in cleaning the hospital, including but not limited to keeping the reception desk area and lobby clean.
- Screen calls to determine which should be handled by other staff members; follows established policies and procedures in referring clients for immediate treatment of animals when requests are accompanied by descriptions of acute symptoms.
What we look for:
- Open availability with the ability to work until closing at 6 pm on weeknights and rotating Saturday shifts (we close at noon).
- Previous Veterinary Experience is encouraged but not required.
- Computer skills: Windows-based computer systems, word processing, email, web search, and other skills needed to effectively use the practice management software program. (Covetrus Pulse experience is a plus!)
