Job description

We are looking for a customer focused Corporate Receptionist (Welcome Host), for our team based at a brand-new building in the City.

Portico have been selected to create a bespoke, innovative, and memorable guest experience for all within this multi-tenanted building in the city, with a diverse range of corporate and technology occupiers.

To succeed in the role, you must be a people person! Based on the ground floor reception, the focus of the Welcome Host will be guest interaction. Dealing with a variety of guests and requests, you will need to read the person in front of you and adapt your service style to their individual needs, whilst ensuring that you follow the welcome and guest registration procedures specific to the occupier in which they are visiting.

You will be the go-to person in the building. So, it is important that you can use your bubbly personality and interpersonal skills to build rapport and strong working relationships with all stakeholders and colleagues, both internal and external. Adhoc admin duties are also a requirement of the role, supporting the Front of House Manager in training new team members, as well as assisting the building management team where necessary.

The VMS used onsite is Touchpoint and you will have a head start if you have used this system before. But don’t worry if you haven’t because the successful candidate will receive full training on the system.

Shift pattern: 40 hours per week between 7am-7pm, from Monday-Friday

Previous experience within a professional customer service role is essential, as you will need to understand client expectations and how to exceed them within a corporate environment. We are looking for someone bubbly and chatty, with a great sense of humour, teamed with the ability to deliver an impeccably professional and seamless service to our clients. The reception team is the bedrock of the building and provides support to lots of different departments. So, a hands-on approach and can-do attitude is essential for anyone joining the team!
