Job description
POLITICO is looking for an organized, friendly, self-motivated receptionist to join our growing organization. As our receptionist, you will manage a variety of administrative tasks such as ensuring the office space is ready for the day, greeting and directing visitors, and providing support across departments with scheduling and planning. The ideal hire will maintain a positive and altruistic outlook by acting as the first line of contact to employees, vendors, and guests.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage front desk, reception area, and mail room
- Answer and direct incoming calls and facility emails
- Greet and direct visitors
- Liaise with office executive assistants for planning and scheduling purposes, including catering, incoming visitors, and internal events
- Support day to day office facility tasks and coordinate with facilities staff
- Keep track of supply room inventory and put in orders as needed
- Receive/sign for incoming mail and packages and ensure mail and package pick up
- Maintain records for office administration
What You’ll Need:
- Ability to adapt and think quickly on your feet
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proactive problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
- Prior experience as a Receptionist in a corporate office or in hospitality strongly preferred
