A bit about us:
Oxona Healthcare is a new type of private healthcare. We aim to offer accessible and affordable treatments for pay-as-you-go patients at a community level. No big expensive hospitals or spiralling bills, just excellent healthcare at a fair and transparent price. All appointments are with our experienced team of GPs. We work from four locations, with permanent offices in Oxford and St Albans, and branch surgeries in Chipping Norton and Didcot. As a business we are looking to grow to bring accessible healthcare to more communities.
The role:
This is not your average receptionist role. We are looking for someone to become fully involved in the business. We are a medical business and as such require someone to be on site to chaperone a patient, look after them post-surgery, and even assist in surgeries – setting up instruments, and clearing away afterwards. It is not for the feint hearted, but is for someone who wants a busy and very varied role. You must be okay with the site of blood!
We also need someone exceptionally organised and capable of managing stock, doctors diaries, patient communications and enquiries (email and phone) and referrals. We are looking for someone with good computer skills (Outlook and Teams), and capable of assisting other receptionists managing a busy inbox.
We recognise not all candidates will come to us with a background in administration and healthcare so we are very keen to speak to candidates with one or the other and can offer training and support.
You will be based in our office in St Albans. Parking is available.
