We have a great opportunity here at NSF for a Receptionist (Maternity Cover - 12 months) to join our water fittings and materials testing Lab in Oakdale, South Wales. You would be primarily greeting and welcoming visitors, directing them appropriately, as well as answering or referring telephone inquiries, and completing a variety of general administrative duties.

What you will be doing:

Providing a professional service for greeting visitors on site, and ensuring that the host is informed
Answering phone calls, ensuring a professional service for transferring calls
Taking messages for sickness and absences, ensuring the correct Managers/Supervisors are informed
Dealing with incoming and outgoing post
Update the telephone system and telephone lists
Ensuring any visitors and contractors on site complete the necessary documentation
Booking and preparing meeting rooms
Booking of hire cars and travel when necessary
Booking taxis and hotels for clients
Checking of Public emails and distributing accordingly
Scanning and archiving of client and project documentation
Maintaining coffee and water facilities
Ordering of clothing, office equipment, and stationery
Assisting and cooperating with other team members to support other reasonable site requirements

The candidate we are looking for:

Friendly and approachable – comfortable dealing with people
Excellent communication skills
Good phone manner
Computer literate - some excel skills would be beneficial
Experience of working in a professional organisation or commercial environment would be preferred but not essential
Experience of dealing with customers & clients would be preferred but not essential
