We have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join our practice team working at Grange Farm Medical Centre working 14.5 hours per week over 3 days, with the potential to cover staff sickness and annual leave. For this role we are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual with a proven record of delivering exceptional customer service in a general practice environment. Receptionist Duties: Answering the telephone, taking messages and passing them on appropriately Receive patients and visitors courteously and efficiently Processing all requests for repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines To provide point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, Doctors and other members of the Primary Health Care Team Process appointment requests by telephone and in person Taking requests for home visits and ensure they are recorded and processed correctly Liaise with hospitals, primary health care team, social services, etc. Computer data entry updating patient records Open/close the practice as and when necessary ensuring the reception, office and consulting rooms are prepared in readiness for the morning session Fax, photocopy, scan and shred as required Maintaining confidentiality at all times To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures and policies To work in accordance with written protocols Receptionist Duties: Answering the telephone, taking messages and passing them on appropriately Manage the reception desk ensuring surgeries run smoothly and efficiently Receive patients and visitors courteously and efficiently Processing all requests for repeat prescriptions in accordance with practice guidelines To provide point of contact for patients and act as a focal point of communication between patients, Doctors and other members of the Primary Health Care Team Be able to cover all reception/administration tasks as necessary Process appointment requests by telephone and in person Taking requests for home visits and ensure they are recorded and processed correctly Liaise with hospitals, primary health care team, social services, etc. Computer data entry updating patient records Open/close the practice as and when necessary ensuring the reception, office and consulting rooms are prepared in readiness for the morning session Fax, photocopy, scan and shred as required Maintaining confidentiality at all times To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures and policies To work in accordance with written protocols Any other tasks allocated by Service Manager / GPs About Nottingham City GP Alliance Nottingham City General Practice Alliance (NCGPA) was formed in 2016. We are Nottingham citys first GP Federation, often referred to as NCGPA or the Alliance. Our members consist of 45 NHS GP practices in Nottingham city, who cover a population of over 336,000 patients. We are the lead employer for our PCN based roles such as Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribing Link Workers and Health and Wellbeing Coaches. NCGPA is a Company Limited by shares, with its member practices being equal shareholders. The company is managed by a board of 8 elected representatives from member GP practices and three co-opted positions representing nursing, lay and non-principal GPs.
