The Role
As one of Norton’s Receptionist team, you will be the first or last person that our guests and visitors interact with so customer service skills will be up there with the best. This will be on a weekend part-time basis and potential overtime to support our weekday shifts when applicable.
From the arrival experience and throughout customer, supplier and staff meetings, you will have the ability to shape their first and last impressions, from your initial warm welcome to assisting sign-in whilst supporting Norton staff through to ensuring they leave the phone or site happy.
Yet the role is so much more than that, you’ll work closely with other departments to enhance guest experience, answering incoming calls, supporting and other administrative requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming and friendly environment for visitors, clients and employees.
- Answer all external calls in a confident, courteous and polite manner regardless of the nature of the call.
- Ensure that all messages are passed to the relevant member of staff, ensuring accuracy of details and set appropriate expectations to customers.
- Keep up to date all relevant business information that may be relevant or needed to be given to external or internal callers.
- Responding to messages within the required company time frames.
- Receive and sort mail and deliveries as they come into reception throughout the day in accordance with the company procedures.
- Providing refreshments and ensure that any refreshments are cleared away at the end of meetings.
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms etc.)
- Undertake any other duties as and when required to meet the operational requirements.

- Attention to details and eye for accuracy
- Be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to use own initiative and prioritise own workload.
