Job Title: Receptionist

Trust Location: Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust

Location: Priority House, Reception, Hermitage Lane, Maidstone, Kent, ME16 9PH

Shift Pattern: 12 hours per week, Monday & Wednesday, 13:00 – 19:00

About the Trust

Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust is a Mental Health Trust and, given the nature this post, may include exposure to distressing information and circumstances.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Working in a Mental Health Unit.

· Answering telephone calls and transferring to wards, departments at Priority House.

· First point of contact on reception

· Greeting visitors, staff attending site

· Directing staff/ visitors to wards other areas.

· Issuing parking permits to staff & visitors.

The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

· An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.

· Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.

· A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation.

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Reception experience

· Excellent IT skills

· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

· Excellent organisation skills

· Microsoft package knowledge – Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
