Associate Digital Product Owner
In this fast-paced, exciting role, you will support the Digital Product Managers to navigate several product lifecycles. This is a wide-ranging role, which will involve helping to define the scope, and managing the backlog of a specific set of products (ie, last mile optimisation or order execution)
There are 2 roles available, and you will be part of the team that shapes the future of our business. This may be your first steps into product, or you may be coming from business analysis or project role – but you will be enthusiastic and a self-starter.
Your Role:
- Support the Digital Product Manager of your area, in the creation of epics and stories
- Support prioritisation of the product backlog, alongside the Digital Product Manager
- Lead key agile ceremonies within the Product lifecycle during sprints
- Coordinate activity with the other Digital Product Owners.
- Full inhouse training will be provided and further opportunity of accredited courses for the right candidate.
You will also:
- Help to shape and define the product backlog, gather customer or colleague needs, map process and capture functional designs
- Support optimisation of existing features, technology and systems, to ensure Asda continue to develop a culture of data and insight driven improvement
- Support the delivery of new product development and product launches, supporting with colleague training and customer comms where required
- Working cross functionally across product initiatives, to seek opportunities to reduce costs and optimise quality
- Work with Digital Product Managers, Group Product Managers and other relevant stakeholders to support progress of the product developments and Customer experience enhancements
- Establish the key features of a product and use market trends and customer buying habits data to create specifications and prototypes
About You:
- Experience of product management, ideally within an Agile framework
- Experience of proactively completing product/feature discovery
- Examples of supporting research, driven by data and insight
- Confidence when speaking to others, with strong written communication too
- Uncompromising customer led approach
- Be comfortable with changing workloads and priorities
- Focus on delivering a quality outcome always, with the customer in mind.
