About the Trust

At South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust we provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK. We also provide substance misuse services for people who are addicted to drugs and alcohol.

Our staff serve a local population of nearly two million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient, and community services. We provide inpatient care for over 5,000 people each year and we treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, and Croydon.

As well as serving the communities of south London, we provide more than 50 specialist services for children and adults across the UK and beyond.

What you’ll be responsible for:

· Front of house reception greeting patients and assisting to needs.

· Liasing with care-coordinators such as Psychologists and Doctors.

· Opening and closing of BPR

· Answering telephone calls and filtering them to appropriate teams.

· Assisting in ordering stationary and other items.

· Being able to deal with multi-task.

· Reporting faults on site.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written

· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel

· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure

· NHS System Knowledge- ePJS

· Previous admin experience

Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
