Job description
Marlborough Highways have a rare opportunity for a full time receptionist to join our fantastic team based in our Chelmsford office. As the first point of contact for employees and the public alike, we are looking for someone outgoing, approachable and reliable – a real people person with the confidence, organisation and communication skills to run a busy front desk. Hours will be 9-5 but you must be flexible as there is a possibility these may adjust to 7-3 in the future.
Key Accountabilities
- Be the first point of contact for all customers and visitors to our Chelmsford Head office site
- Answer all reception calls, ensuring calls are transferred to the correct person and any customer complaints are dealt with appropriately and escalated when needed.
- Answer all callouts for contracts across the business.
- Welcome and direct all visitors
- Manage the reception email mailbox.
- Manage and distribute all incoming and outgoing post.
- Manage the room booking system for head office
- Order all stationary, tea, coffee and sugar for the office and make teas and coffees for guests
Person Specification
- Strong administration skills with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience in working in an administrative role, dealing with sensitive information would be beneficial
- Procactive approach to work, taking initiative to ensure tasks are completed
- Excellent communication skills with experience in dealing with customers effectively
- Confident, friendly and approachable with experience in working as part of a team
