Longueville Manor is the 1st and only 5 red star Hotel in the Channel Islands. It is situated a mile to the east of St. Helier, the capital of the Island of Jersey. The island is fringed with miles of sandy beaches and is frequently blessed with the longest hours of sunshine in the UK. Set in 17 acres of parkland, this 13th century Norman manor house has been lovingly restored and run as a hotel by the Lewis family for over 75 years.
Today, the hotel has 26 double rooms, 4 suites and a 2 bedroom cottage, with a 3AA rosette restaurant, which enjoys a strong local following as well as an international reputation and is the only Relais & Châteaux member in the Channel Islands.
- To ensure all guests receive a friendly, efficient and prompt service
- Answer all calls, emails and queries quickly and efficiently
- Maintain maximum information on guest profiles in Protel in line with GDPR
- Endeavour to increase sales of all facilities eg cakes, champagne, flowers, food and beverage, island tours etc.
- Type confirmation letters, menus, wine lists and any other requirements which might occur
- Be aware of the day’s arrivals and anything else happening, i.e. meetings, special guests etc
- Ensure all departments have their relevant reports and are constantly updated with any changes that occur throughout the day
- Handle all guest queries, complaints etc, referring to a senior member of staff if necessary
- Take reservations and deal with any booking enquiries, ensuring all reservations are entered into Protel.
- All records must be maintained accurately and filed appropriately in both Protel and on all documentation relating to each enquiry/reservation
- Ensure all departures are charged correctly, balance both reception floats and balance banking at end of shift
- Ensure all accounts are correct, with commission deducted and are properly addressed with the company name and address before ledgering
Experience in Reception is desirable, Must have excellent written and spoken English
