Kynance Practice is a GP practice in London SW7 is looking for a candidate who has excellent telephone manner, a willingness to learn, patience and tolerance in the face of adversity. If you have the resilience to deal with the often demanding manner of general public and a can-do attitude, then we have the job for you.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience as a medical receptionist, but full training will be provided.
You will need good level of IT and general office skills preferably with previous experience in primary care environment to broaden your job description.

Main duties of the job
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Reception
Welcoming patients.
Manage patient inquiries.
Able to work calmly under pressure
A good communicator both oral and written
Using SystmOne (training will be provided)
Coping with requests which are made for appointments, visits, collection of prescriptions, letters or message left or to be left
Process appointment requests for current and future appointments either by telephone or face to face.
Enter request for home visits, ensuring careful recording of all relevant details
Administration
To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
To work in accordance with written protocols
When required make sure medical records are updated
Recall of child immunisations and health promotions
Referral to secondary care

Full training will be given so previous experience in a GP surgery is not essential.
Our team of receptionists are multi-skilled and are trained to cover each others roles for variety
