King Street Gym is a hybrid training experience, that offers its members the community spirit of group functional training boutiques, as well as a traditional gym and pool facilities – all at an affordable price.

We are looking for an outgoing fitness fanatic to help deliver our mission, by welcoming; engaging; and motivating, our members so they can achieve their fitness goals.

The successful candidate:
Will be the first point of contact for our members as you meet and greet them at the front desk.
Must have an interest in fitness and be able to have fitness related conversations with our members, maximising their experience.
Must play and active role creating a welcoming environment where’s fun and enjoyable for members to train.
Needs the confidence and vibrant personality to create a sense of community that’ll engage members and support them in achieving their health and fitness goals.
Needs to build great relationships with members to gain their loyalty.
Must deliver exceptional customer service that ensures the loyalty of our members.
Would ideally have experience of working with a customer management system, signing up new members and managing payments.
Would ideally have relevant experience in a fitness club or similar industry.
Would ideally have experience of gym membership sales.
Must be flexible – able to work any operational shift as the business requires.
Duties and Responsibilities:
To be a leader in delivering our mission statement.
To offer exceptional customer service, as the first point of contact for members.
Dealing with member enquires via telephone, email or face-to-face.
Cashing-up and balancing tills at the start and end of day.
To take responsibility for member administration, ensuring members’ payment details are active and up to date.
To increase revenue by driving retail sales at the reception desk.
To deliver first-class club tours to prospective members. By showing understanding of their needs and goals you will be able to demonstrate how our facility is their obvious choice.
To contact prospective members, to book club tours.
To complete ‘new member welcome calls’ to ensure our members get the best possible experience from the moment they join.
To ‘save and rescue’ any member wishing to cancel their membership, by problem solving and addressing their issues.
To contribute general cleaning duties, ensuring exceptional cleaning and hygiene standards in all areas of the club.
To regularly review the standards of the changing rooms and take any necessary action to resolve issues.
Carry out end of day cleaning routines throughout the club.
To be confident, demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills.
The details:
· Salary: £10.92 per hour
· 32-hour contract (4 x 8hour shifts)
Shift Pattern:-
- Monday 0600-1430
- Tuesday 0600-1430
- Thursday 1400-2230
- Friday 1200-2030
Shift includes a 30 minute unpaid break
· Must also be fully flexible to cover shift changes and annual leave (includes early shifts, late shifts, weekends)
· 4-weeks annual leave.
· Club will operate on bank holidays (exc. Christmas).
· Must be able to travel to work for as early as 6am, until as late as 10:30pm. Please check public transport schedules and local parking options before applying.
